語源

動詞 study 「勉強する、研究する」（ラテン語 studium 「熱意、研究」 ← studere）の過去分詞形である。

「勉強した」「研究された」という意味の他に、慎重に計画された「故意の」、あるいは自然でなく「わざとらしい」「不自然な」という意味も持つ。
